The following items of general interest were reported upon at the meeting which was attended by delegates from 15 Sections:

Presentations were made to delegates from the newly formed Sections, and the following new delegates were welcomed:
D. Baturin Russia, F. Estrada Spain, J. Edward Scotland

Dmitry Baturin made a presentation on the formation of the Russian Section, and their plans for developing the Section.

The Treasurer reminded all Sections of the closing date for receipt of subscriptions and members lists, failing which a section would be excluded from the National Team event at 2006 Championships.

The Fish Recorder reported that total record claims for 2005 had been 8, giving rise to 12 new European Records.

The 2006 Game Championships were fully subscribed.

The Championship Officer (Boat & Shore) reported that the 2005 events in Denmark, Gibraltar & England had all proved very successful.

The new Handbook and Record List publications which had replaced the Yearbook had proved to be financially viable, and had been well received.

Agreement was reached to create two new Officers – Championship Officer (Boat) and Championship Officer (Shore) in place of the existing dual role.

A proposal was approved to bar practice fishing at a Shore Championship venue for 5 days prior to the event.

Applications were approved for the following Championships & Festivals:
2007 Game Festival Portomao, Portugal.
2007 Species Championship Iceland.
2008 Species Championship Belgium.

A new dress code was agreed for Game Championships – white short sleeved cotton shirts with EFSA logo on pocket, and section/angler name if required. Grey trousers or shorts.
